FAQs

Where Are You Located?

Our puppies are raised at our home, located in upstate New York, in a small town called Vestal. (We are about an hour north of Scranton, Pennsylvania and an hour south of Syracuse, New York)

Do You Ship Your Puppies?

No, we do not ship our Labrador puppies. We require each of our prospective buyers to come and meet with us prior to taking home a puppy. As much as you would want to meet us and the parents of your forever fur-baby, we want to meet who they will be spending their lives with.

Can I Visit Your Puppies?

Absolutely, we love visits, however, for the safety and health of our puppies, we only allow in-person visits from families who have placed a deposit on a puppy. We also don’t allow visits of puppies until they have reached four (4) weeks of age. Around four (4) weeks of age, we invite each of our families to come and select their puppy from the litter, to be identified by both collar color and microchip number. Families are then free to visit with their puppies until they are ready to leave our premises at eight (8) weeks of age. For our families that are further away, we are always happy to facetime, skype, etc., as often as possible.

Do You Socialize Your Puppies?

ABSOLUTELY! All of our puppies are raised inside of our home, together with our family and other Labradors, receiving the utmost attention, love and care. Our past buyers (current Labrador owners) can attest to how highly socialized our puppies are, and how much love they have truly received from our family.

What Does Your Pricing Include?

Our pricing includes preventative de-worming, first round of vaccinations, microchipping with lifetime registration and ID Tag, 30+ days of free pet insurance, first vet visit with health certificate, “Welcome Home” gift bags, transitional food (if applicable), nutritional supplements samples, and information packets.

How Often Do You Have a Litter?

This is not an exact science. We are a family breeder and care most about the health and safety of our dogs and litters as they are all an extension of our family. This being said, we only have a limited number of litters per year and per female.

Are Your Labradors Considered American or English Labs? What is the Difference?

At Warholic Family Labs, we only breed American Labs. The distinction between American and English labs is not an official one, but the types are now almost universally recognized by all and there are distinct differences between them. When compared to an English type lab, the American type, Has a lighter, slimmer-looking body. With a more athletic build, lithe and finer boned, they look more agile and “ready to go”; Has a head that’s not as wide as their English cousins. The skull and face are noticeably narrower, and their muzzle more streamlined and longer than the English lab; Has a thinner and longer neck which adds to its more athletic look.; Has a noticeably thinner coat; Generally has a tail that is thinner and less “otter-like” than an English Lab; Has longer legs and so is taller when compared to an English lab. In combination with their slimmer build, this further adds to their look of athleticism.
