AKC Labrador Guidelines

The American Kennel Club (AKC) sets forth a very specific guideline of standards for each breed. In the case of the Labrador Retriever, the AKC sets forth the following breed standards. This describes every official standard of the Labrador Retriever as set forth by the American Kennel Club from the general appearance, size, color, the way they move and disqualifying factors.
